author and ghostwriter

Do You Need
A Ghostwriter
for Your Book?

I am a ghostwriter. My job is to make your thoughts and words come to life in a way that will thrill your publisher and provide an unforgettable experience for your readers. I do that job with as much care and concern for your thoughts and words as I do for my own.

Most of my own writing has been about leadership and organization change, personal growth, and the nature of work. My first book, Artful Work, won the coveted Benjamin Franklin Award as Best Business Book. Two others, Is Your Genius at Work? and The Art of Winning Commitment, received much acclaim. Readers and reviewers praised all three books for their clarity, insightfulness, and unique perspectives. A few of their comments are on the reviews page.

The critical success of my books spawned requests to write articles for publications such as Industry Week, Executive Excellence, Science of Mind, and the Journal for Quality and Participation. When I was invited to write for the landmark book, Business: The Ultimate Resource, the editors referred to me as, “One of today’s leading business authors and thinkers.”

I don’t need to know much, if anything, about the subject of your book. You are the expert. I never forget that the book we are creating is yours. I take on only one project at a time, and I look for potential authors who have both something meaningful to say and a passion for saying it.

I bring a unique set of skills and experiences to ghostwriting. The most obvious is that I am a skilled and accomplished writer. Beyond that, I have also been called, “One of the world’s great listeners.” This comes as the result of training and experience as a counselor and coach. It is an invaluable asset to a ghostwriter because I often hear what an author is trying to say even when that author is unclear, and can sense underlying structure in what appears to be unconnected thoughts. I am also a thoughtful and practiced process manager, with knowledge of both the writing and publishing processes. You will find more about my background on the About page and find samples of my writing on the Links page.

My contracts prohibit me from saying much about the books I have ghostwritten, but I can say that the authors are very pleased with the results of our work together, and they say of the writing, with delight, “It sounds like me.”

This page is short on important details such as how long your project will take, how much it will it cost, and how we would work together even when there is distance between us.
There are general guidelines on the FAQ page, but the details are best pinned down in a dialogue.

Please contact me if you suspect that I might be the right ghostwriter for you. I'll be pleased to have a phone conversation about your book and to send you a sample contract.

Your view. Your voice. Your book.
